02 / The Story & The Dramatic Spine

The year is 2072.

One hundred years after the MIT warnings were ignored, the world stands at the edge of collapse. The Paladin Empire governs through digital surveillance, AI, and biometric control — and water is no longer a human right.

The Story

A love story at the edge of collapse.

Alexandra, daughter of the Empire, falls in love with Elias — leader of the underground resistance. Together they discover the Core Key: a digital code that can destroy the surveillance network.

But it can only be activated in Athens. The ancient run from Marathon becomes the only path to liberation — and the last battle of Marathon begins again.

The Figures

Three bodies, one myth.

Holds the Line Alexandra Carpass Daughter of the Empire who learns its truth. She holds the line at Marathon.
Carries the Key Elias Leader of the resistance. Carrier of the Core Key. The runner toward Athens.
The Architect Lord Palaton The Empire's architect — blind in body, omniscient through technology.
The Dramatic Spine

One body running. One body holding the line.

One body running toward liberation.
One body holding the line.

At the centre of the live performance, an actual Olympic runner undertakes the Marathon-to-Athens route in real time. Their heartbeat, breath, and GPS position are transmitted live into the production through music, projections, and choreography. The ancient myth becomes literal, urgent, and real.
